The Government of India’s Ministry of Defence has issued a letter outlining the implementation of the One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme for defence forces pensioners. The letter states that detailed instructions and tables indicating the revised pension for each rank and category will be issued separately.
The letter also includes 121 tables outlining the rates of pension and family pension under the OROP scheme for commissioned officers, honorary commissioned officers, JCOs/ORs, and non-combatants of the army, navy, air force, and territorial army.
The letter applies to all pensioners and family pensioners who were retired or discharged before July 1, 2019 (except those who retired after previous OROP revisions on premature retirement or own request).The letter states that the revision of pension for pensioners retired/discharged on or after July 1, 2014 and before July 1, 2019 will be done through the SPARSH application and corrigendum PPO.
